At present GP's and retail pharmacists have been overwhelmed with panic requests for prescription flu remedies such as Tamiflu and Relenza, with stock shortages reported at many pharmacies.

These are not known to be effective against Swine Flu, with researchers estimating several months until a true vaccine is produced.
