Australian Self Medication Industry (ASMI) Appointments

Remedies Group is pleased to announce the following appointments:

Lyndon Catzel, Remedies Group Director of Operations, to the ASMI Manufacturing Working Group
Objective of the working group

  • Addresses issues relating to all aspects of the regulatory scheme applicable to the manufacture of self-care products - GMP and quality control.
  • Participates in identifying problem areas and propose solutions, to initiate or support initiatives to improve the regulatory GMP framework to ensure the quality standards of the industry are improved with minimum effective regulation and while maintaining a level playing field.
  • Responsible for identifying members' requirements for additional support through information sessions, e.g. workshops, seminars, etc.

Darryl Jackson, Remedies Group General Manager, to the ASMI Marketing and Ethics Committee.
Objective of the working group:

  • Promote the ASMI Code of Practice internally to Members and externally to Industry and major stakeholders.
  • Monitor the environment in which the Code operates.
  • Review the Code at least annually to ensure that the Code reflects current community standards.
  • Monitor the application and administration of the Therapeutic Goods Advertising Code.
  • Oversee the approval operation, review emerging issues and operational efficiencies.
  • Drawing on the collective marketing talent across the Association, to drive initiatives that will fuel industry/category growth.
